According to the sources, Newcastle has settled a 2.5-year agreement with ex-Bournemouth head coach Eddie Howe. The 43-year-old Englishman is an alternative to Unai Emery, who decided to continue working in Villarreal amid the interest of the Magpies.

Howe is expected to become the first Newcastle coach to be appointed by the club’s new owners from the Saudi Arabian Investment Fund. Eddie will replace Steve Bruce, who was fired in October and left the team in 19th place in the Premier League table.
