PSG feels cheated by City

It plays its home matches at the Parc des Princes, which can hold less than 50,000 fans. The stadium has become too cramped for the French champions, so plans have been made to modernize it. Paris Saint-Germain is ready to pay the cost of the redevelopment, which could be as high as 500 million euros, but first the city must turn over the Parc des Princes to it. – Our first option is to stay, but I don’t think the City Council wants us to stay. They are pressuring us to leave. We have been arguing with them for five years. Every time we get the same empty promises and we are tired of them. We want to be treated fairly. I love Parc des Princes, it’s our history. Unfortunately, we are not welcome there.

– Some 80 million euros were invested in the stadium from our pockets, but it’s not our stadium, who else would do it? We want a stadium like all other clubs, we need to increase revenue, to have a better stadium for our fans, and more fans come than we can accommodate. The city council thinks we’re joking, but that’s not the case, and we’re very serious about other options,” he said in an interview with “Marca.
