Portugal failed against Serbia and lost a direct ticket to the World Cup

Serbia defeated Portugal (2:1) in the match of the 10th round of qualifying group A of the 2022 World Cup. Moreover, the decisive game was played in Portugal at Estadio da Luz.

The teams exchanged goals in the first half. At the start of the match, Renato Sanchez put the Portuguese ahead. Dusan Tadic equalized.

At the very end of the meeting, Serbia snatched a victory – an accurate blow on account of Aleksandar Mitrovic. Thus, the Serbs have bypassed the Portuguese in the table and reached the World Cup from first place in qualifying group A. Portugal will play in the playoffs.
