Felix could join Barca in the summer of 2023

Joao Felix has long been unhappy with his situation at Atletico Madrid. The Portuguese has been sidelined by Diego Simeone, and the team’s results this season have been severely disappointing. The Rojiblancos finished last in the Champions League Group B table and won’t even play in the Europa League because of it.

The 22-year-old has long been interested in FC Barcelona, which already asked Atleti about his situation in the summer. At the time, however, it was met with a refusal. The Pride of Catalonia, however, has not folded its arms and is revisiting the topic. According to Ruben Uria, the club has already begun negotiations with the player’s representative Jorge Mendes.

Interestingly, according to the journalist, the Blaugrana and Atletico Madrid are currently working on two operations. It has been agreed that one of them would be the transfer of Joao Felix. The second, however, remains a mystery.

The Los Colchoneros striker could join Barca in the summer of 2023. His contract with his current club does not expire until June 2026, so the transfer would involve a not inconsiderable fee.
