Ballon d’Or goes to Messi for the record seventh time
France Football held another ceremony to praise the best footballers of the 2021st year. An Argentinian superstar Lionel Messi claimed his seventh award.
The ceremony was in the Parisian Chatelet Theater, with a lot of celebrities outside the football to be present. All became the witnesses of the new record, which is hard to be beaten in the nearest future. Among the most notable achievements of Messi this year was the victory at Copa America and Spanish Cup with Barcelona.

In the summer, he moved to Paris Saint-Germain but didn’t show anything interesting since that time except to a few goals in the Ligue 1 and Champions League.
However, it was enough to claim 613 votes and overcome Robert Levandowski with 580 and Jorginho with 460 votes accordingly. The principal rival for Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo (with five Ballon d’Or), got only 178 votes and was behind Karim Benzema and N’golo Kante to be fourth and fifth this year.
