Kessie not moving on from Barcelona
In recent days there have been a lot of reports in the media suggesting that Franck Kessie is unhappy at Barcelona and is considering changing his surroundings as early as the upcoming January transfer window. As it turns out, these were mere rumors pulled out of a finger, as they were denied by the player’s agent.
Fabrizio Romano adds that a January transfer of the central midfielder is ruled out not only by the player himself, but also by Barcelona. The 60-time Ivorian representative is still adapting to his new team, and it will take time for the 25-year-old to feel fully comfortable at Camp Nou.
Recall that the former Atalanta Bergamo player has been a Barcelona player since July 2022, when his contract with Milan expired and he moved to the Catalan capital for free. Kessie has so far been unable to win a place in the first “Blaugrana” squad.
The 25-year-old midfielder has played 12 games this season, but has spent only 418 minutes on the field. His market value is estimated by “Transfermarkt” at 45 million euros.
